Product note
The trading fee is now 0.02%
The standard trading fee drops from 0.25% to 0.02%, a 92% cut. Holding OPCODE still takes up to 80% off.
opcode is built to make tokenized stocks accessible. What a trade costs is part of that.
The standard trading fee is now 0.02%, or 2 basis points. It was 0.25%. That is a 92% cut, and every tier comes down with it.
The fee, in dollars
At the standard rate, the trading fee on a $1,000 trade is now $0.20. It was $2.50. On a $10,000 trade it is $2.00, down from $25.00.
A low fee no longer depends on holding OPCODE. With none held, the fee is now below what the top tier used to charge.
Hold OPCODE, pay a lower fee
The tiers work as before, on the same thresholds. Hold 5,000 OPCODE and the fee is 0.012%. Hold 20,000 and it is 0.008%. Hold 75,000 and it is 0.004%. That is still 40%, 60%, and 80% off the standard fee.
At the top tier, the fee on a $10,000 trade is $0.40.
Your OPCODE balance sets your tier. To see yours, open the account menu and choose Fee schedule.
Swaps between dollars
A swap where both sides are dollar stablecoins is charged a flat 0.003%, down from 0.01%. That is 3 cents on $1,000. It replaces the tier rather than stacking with it, so every account pays the same rate. An account discount still applies on top.
The savings dollars post has the detail.
The rest is the same
It is still one fee, taken from what you paid with. Settling on Ethereum still has a cost, and every quote shows it separately from the trading fee, before you sign.
